Maite Pérez
She began her music studies at the age of 7, in Flix. She later studied vocal performance and piano at the Conservatori de Música in Tarragona. She completed her university degree in Musical Theory and Vocal Performance at the Conservatori Superior Municipal of Barcelona, where she was taught by Enriqueta Tarrés and Alan Branch. Later on, she worked alongside Mercè Obiol.
As a soloist, she has collaborated in various productions with the Chamber Orchestra of Tarragona (OCTA), the Cum Jubilo Orchestra del Camp de Tarragona, and the Chamber Orchestra of Ribera d’Ebre. In the sphere of Lied, she has performed in various cities in Catalonia. She has also been a member of the ancient music ensemble Cantar Sonando.
She has taken part in recordings of A. Caldara’s II più Bel Nome Opera, participating in the Òpera de Butxaca festival and in a song cycle dedicated to Mary Magdalene at the Tomb, alongside Brazilian organist Nicolau de Figueiredo.
She currently teaches at the Conservatori de Música of Reus and performs with the Scherzo choir.
