"FROM THE ROOTS TO THE SKY"
rogram that shows how traditional music and “auteur” music are interrelated, by revealing how the roots of the latter lead to the sublimation of melodies that are both popular and refined, thanks to the work of great composers. This dialogue between these types of music is based on songs by Eduard Toldrà in addition to a suite of traditional Catalan songs, dedicated specifically to the Scherzo Choir, by the great pianist and composer Manuel Garcia Morante. Two compositions by Alejandro Yagüe and by Ramiro Real, also written for the Scherzo Choir, will be additionally performed in this concert.
